Ballroom Dance Club

The purpose of the Pensacola High Ballroom Dance Club is to promote interest, enjoyment and performance of the American Rhythm and American Smooth ballroom dances.

The club was formed about five years ago, and was the first club of its kind in the area. The Ballroom Dance Club is open to all Pensacola High students and teachers. The dues are $5 and must be paid to be in the yearbook picture. No talent is necessary to join; no previous experience is needed. We review all the time.

The major dances we learn the basics of are the Hustle, the Rhumba, the Foxtrot, the Waltz, the Tango, Triple-time Swing, the Cha-cha, the Mambo, and the Samba. We try to have a Fall Social and/or a Spring Social where we dress up, bring guests, practice some of our dances, eat, and have fun. This year we hope to put together some routines to perform for some senior citizens.

Due to the hip/thigh condition of the sponsor this year, some of our activities may be limited.

The Ballroom Dance Club meets Thursdays in the cafeteria until 4:00

Join any time.  We have fun learning and doing a variety of dances each week.

 Come dance with us!
